Navigating through the doís and donítís of running oncology studies in Asia Pacific
Julie has worked within the pharmaceutical and clinical trial industries for almost 20 years. She began her career as a research assistant in Molecular Biology, she then spent several years working within diagnostic haematology laboratories before transitioning into Clinical Research as a Trials coordinator within the haematology and Oncology areas.
Julie joined the pharmaceutical industry in 1994 with Aventis Pharma (formerly RPR). Here she held positions of increasing responsibilities, starting as a CRA to CRM. In this time, Julie was responsible for the development of a local Phase III trial and project management of Phase I-III trials in haematology, CNS, cardiovascular and oncology.
Julie has been with Novotech since 2001, working in positions of increasing seniority from Senior Project Manager to her current role as Therapeutic Area Director for Oncology. This role provides clients with Julieís extensive oncology and clinical research experience to contribute to the development of oncology protocols. She also supports Novotech project managers for oncology projects across Asia Pacific, particularly in selecting and managing high performing sites and meeting recruitment and data quality objectives.
